On behalf of the community, I would like to extend a thank-you to the American Legion for the wonderful Christmas party; It was nice to see the failing economy did not dampen your giving spirits; You made many children very happy; Nice job everyone!

As You Know we have succeeded;;; Approximately 6 weeks ago we started a simple mission to raise a few hundred dollars for the Red Cross Disaster Fund …;
Well let me tell you we did a Spectacular job; The hard work of all the staff every one going out and asking the community to donate for our basket raffle or to come and work at the dinner, and even just passing the word that we were having the event, we all made a difference;
Words can not describe the joy and pride, we all should feel; With our event we pulled the community together, had a meal enjoyed dancing and had a basket raffle; What a great family day;
We have raised $4000 … WOW Never did I expect to do so well;
The check will be presented to the Red Cross on November 19th at 6pm;
It has been my honor to chair this event, to work with some great people and to have completed this mission; I look forward to the future, to see what other great things we can accomplish together;

Veterans Day will soon be upon us; And while the world is still struggling with conflict in the Middle East and many of our men and women are still not home I think we need to stop!! Reflect and say THANK You; Not just to those that are serving now but to all those that have served in the past, I wake each and every day being able to speak freely and to make choices; And that is only because of you; The Veteran;
We hear so much about change coming ;;; The ONE thing I would like to see is the Safe and Speedy return of all our service men and women;
So Let Me Speak for a large number of people ;;; Thank you God Bless All And God bless the United States of America

The Club went non smoking because it is the new law!
We could have Members only in the club if we voted to have a smoking club; We would not be allowed to have parties with any non member present; Also no one under the age of 18 would be permitted in the building so that would mean no SAL or Auxiliary members under the age of 18 would be allowed at any of their meetings;
